November 3 mishap toll rises to 11

One more person injured in the November 3 Sambalpur mishap, died on Tuesday taking the toll to 11. He is Dolamani Behera of Bargarh's Jamdol village. He is the eighth victim from the same district. The 26-year-old, the only son of his parents, was admitted in a private nursing home in Burla. He had sustained head injuries and was in the ICU.
                                 Dolamani, a graduate, had recently joined a private company in Angul district as a date entry operator. He had taken the private bus to reach Sambalpur and from there he was supposed to take Rourkela-Bhubaneswar Intercity to reach Angul. He was on his way to his workplace after a prolonged Diwali vacation.
                      "He was supposed to have taken the Rourkela-Bhubaneswar intercity express at Sambalpur. But we got news of his injuries," said a close relative of Behera.Dolamani's father Durlabh is a farmer and the villagers had pulled in money to extend the best possible medical help to him, family sources said. Dolamani was among the 11 seriously injured in the bus-truck collision near Sambalpur. Ten persons, including five women, were killed in the mishap at Babubandh, 18 km from Sambalpur.
